In our small group (4 person maximum) equipment classes using the refomer and tower combination system, you will be guided through a series of controlled exercises that are specifically tailored to your level of ability. This amazing program will help you attain a higher level of balance in your exercise program as you simultaneously strengthen and stretch your entire body. Combining essential mat work with the benefits of the Pilates Reformer/Tower equipment through a system of springs and bars, the equipment supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning, while providing added resistance for strengthening, toning and lengthening muscles.
With only a maximum of 7 participants, Pilates mat class will introduce principles of concentration, breathing, alignment, coordination and balance while focusing on and developing the basic fundamental Pilates exercises and terminology. Mat class is a highly focused mind-body workout geared to strengthen, tone, align and stretch. Participants will learn to relax their body and breathe deeply while concentrating on the quality and accuracy of their movements.
Pilates MVe® Chair
Chair class at Core is a fast-paced, fun class utilizing the Peak MVe® Pilates Chair. Incorporating Pilates fundamental exercises to give you a great workout, chair class focuses on building strength, coordination, and balance. As a change from many pilates classes where most of the exercises are performed while lying down, chair work is mainly performed starting upright in a sitting or standing position, creating a totally new challenge for the core muscles .With a maximum of five participants, chair class may be the piece missing from your Pilates workout.
